Sunday School is starting soon! Our first day of Sunday School will be Sunday, September 10. Sunday School is available to children three years told through middle school. On the 10th, children and parents will meet in the Sanctuary for opening exercises and will then participate in an activity and treats! Parents will fill out registration forms for their children participating in Sunday School during this time.

Our theme this year is Legos: Building The Church Foundation! We will be using Legos to help us with our learning throughout the year. Our students will also focus on learning stories of the Bible through the use of Rotational Curriculum. The students will work in multi-age groups (bigs and littles) and rotate through two stations each Sunday to learn about our Bible story. Possible stations include art, games, cooking, storytelling and missions. Students will be able to learn a story from the Bible over the course of several weeks, instead of briefly learning one each week.

All of our middle school and high school students are welcome to join us each Sunday. They will be paired with our youngest students to be mentor helpers. This will allow our teachers to have more hands with our littlest children and bonds between ages will be formed as we learn the stories of the Bible together.

Teachers will get to all children involved in Sunday School. Teachers will be able to “lead” or “help” with the lesson each week and plans and supplies will be reach for you each week. If you are interested in helping with Sunday School, either as a teacher, helper, substitute, “special guest” or would like to know more information, please let Jennifer Stevens know. She can be reached at Jennifer.Stevens@fpsmail.org or (402) 617-3504 (call or text).

We need Legos to help with our learning! If you are interested in donating new or used Legos for Sunday School, it would be greatly appreciated. Boxes of random Legos, rather than specific sets will be more helpful to us. We will also need base plates to help provide a base for our building.

Lastly, the 2017 Sunday School registration form can be downloaded here.
